Step 1
Mix all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set it aside for later use.

Pour the cooking oil into a deep-sided pan and heat it over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot enough (350°F), deep-fry your tofu cubes (Feel free to cook them in batches).

When the tofu turns golden brown, transfer them to a paper towel-covered plate.

Saute garlic and onion with melted butter at medium heat until soft and fragrant.

Then, stir in bell peppers until they also soften.

Next, add the prepared sauce and the remaining chili peppers. Let the mixture simmer for 2 minutes.

When the sauce has thickened, toss in the tofu cubes. Stir them gently until well coated. Then, serve while they’re still sizzling!
