These traditional suet dumplings are a much-loved British classic. Cooked on top of a stew, they are quick and easy to make (only 4 ingredients!), but always taste unbelievably good.

Traditional British Suet Dumplings (using Atora Suet)

These dumplings are designed to be cooked on top of a stew cooked in the oven. You can cook them on top of almost any stew and at any temperature between 140 fan and 200 fan. (Use the oven temperature recommended for the type of stew you are making.)

Make these dumplings approximately 30 minutes before your stew is ready to come out of the oven. (They will need approximately 20 minutes cooking on top of your stew.)

Put the flour, suet and salt in a bowl. Stir to ensure the salt and suet are evenly distributed throughout the flour.

Add just enough cold water to make the mixture come together into a firm dough. (Add a little at a time to ensure the dough does not get too wet. The dough should be firm, but not crumbly or sticky.)

Divide the dough into 16 roughly even sized pieces (it doesn’t have to be perfect!) and roll each piece into a ball with your hands.

Place the dumplings on top of your stew in a single layer and put the lid back on. Cook for 20 minutes, by which time both the stew and the dumplings should be cooked.

A homey and comforting Shepherd&#39;s Pie recipe with a meat and vegetable gravy sauce under a crown of creamy parmesan mashed potatoes.

Shepherd’s Pie Recipe

parmesan cheese (shredded)

egg (lightly beaten)

unsalted butter (melted to brush the top)

Tbsp parsley or chives (chopped, to garnish the top)

tsp black pepper (plus more to taste)

yellow onion (finely chopped (1 cup))

beef broth or chicken broth

Place chopped potatoes in a large saucepan, cover with cold water and bring to boil. Cook until potatoes are tender (12-15 minutes), don’t overcook potatoes. Drain and mash potatoes in the same pot.

Add warm cream and 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste) then mash until smooth. Lastly, mash in the parmesan cheese and beaten egg.

How to Make Potatoes:

Preheat oven to 400˚F with a rack in the center. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 Tbsp olive oil and ground beef. Breaking up the beef with a spatula then season with 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp black pepper and cook until meat is just cooked through and no longer pink (5 minutes).

Add onions and sauté for 3 minutes to soften then add minced garlic and stir another minute.

Sprinkle with 2 Tbsp flour and stir for 1 minute. You’ll see a film form on the bottom of your pan.

Stir in red wine, scraping the bottom to deglaze the pan for a minute. Add beef broth, 1 Tbsp tomato paste, and 1 Tbsp Worcestershire.

Add 1 1/2 cups of frozen veggies and bring to a light boil. Season with another 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper or add to taste. Reduce heat to a simmer, cover and cook 10 minutes until sauce is slightly thickened.

How to Make the Filling:

Transfer meat and veggie mixture to a deep pie dish, or 11x7 or 9x9 casserole dish.

Scoop mashed potatoes over the top then spread evenly, making sure to seal the potatoes to the edge of the dish so the filling doesn’t bubble up.

Drizzle 2 Tbsp melted butter over the top. Place a sheet of foil under the casserole to catch any drips and bake at 400˚F on the center rack for 25-30 minutes or until potatoes start to turn golden. Cool 15 minutes before serving.

Easy Shepherd's Pie Recipe

This is hands down, the easiest, quickest and tastiest “Spanish Seafood Paella Recipe”. Let’s talk about how gorgeous this dish is, look at it! It is a statement itself! This Paella is a one-pot meal so it is a PERFECT party dish! This dish is a mixture of rice, veggies, infused with Saffron, and different spices. Packed with a combination of seafood: shrimps, mussels, calamari, lobster’s tail, fish fillet, and clams.

Spanish Seafood Paella Recipe

rice

Vegetable stock (or chicken stock)

Water

Colored Peppers

Yellow onion, finely chopped

Garlic,

Tomatoes

Frozen peas & carrots

¼ cup leeks, sliced thin

celery, small cubes

Olive oil

Parsley

Saffron Threads

Garlic powder

Onion powder

Turmeric

Coriander

Paprika

Bay leaves

Black pepper

Cumin

½ teaspoon Salt or to taste

1-  In a small pan, bring vegetable stock to boil then add the “Saffron”. 

Wait a few minutes then remove from heat and step aside.

Step 1” Saffron”

In a Paella pan “or any similar skillet” heat oil over medium heat.

Sautee onions for 2 minutes then add the celery, leeks, colored peppers &amp; garlic. Stirring regularly.

Add the rest of the spices: Garlic powder, Onion powder, Turmeric, Coriander, Paprika, Bay leaves, Black pepper, cumin &amp;Turmeric. Stir regularly

Add the peas &amp; carrots, then add the calamari, Stir regularly for 3 minutes

Add rice then diced tomatoes. Stir for 2 minutes

 Now add “step 1” – The Mixture of vegetable’s stock &amp; Saffron” then the water

Now, arrange the rest of the seafood start by adding the peeled shrimp, fish fillet, shrimp heads-on, lobster’s tail, mussels &amp; clams.

Bring to boil then lower the heat a bit and cover. Cook for 15 minutes, until the liquid, is fully absorbed or until its fully cooked

Garnish with parsley, serve with lemon wedges on the side. Serve and enjoy!

Air Fryer Chicken Drumsticks are a deliciously easy meal, ready in less than 20 minutes. This simple recipe makes crispy, juicy chicken drumsticks, everyone will love.

Air Fryer Chicken Drumsticks

Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with a paper towel. Brush drumsticks with oil and then place into a Ziploc bag.

In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking  powder  paprika, onion powder, salt,  and pepper. Once combined, pour into the bag with chicken and toss again until the drumsticks are covered with the spice mixture. 

Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray, or brush a light coating of olive oil over basket to prevent drumsticks from sticking.

Place the drumsticks in air fryer basket without overlapping or stacking. Air fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes. Flip chicken drumsticks halfway through the cooking time. 

Once chicken has reached 165° degrees internal temperature, and has your desired crispness, remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Sticky Toffee Pudding

oz medjool dates (approximately 7-10 dates)

Preheat oven

Soak dates

Finely chop the dates. You should have about 1 cup loosely packed. Place the dates in a bowl and cover with boiling water and sprinkle with baking soda. Stir, then allow the mixture to sit undisturbed for 20 minutes.

Wet ingredients

Meanwhile, using a hand mixer or stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat butter, brown sugar, and molasses until creamy and combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well between each addition and scraping the sides and bottom of the bowl as needed. Beat in the vanilla.

Dry ingredients

In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the flour mixture into the butter mixture and beat until combined, scraping the sides and bottom of the bowl as needed.

Add dates to batter

After the dates have soaked for 20 minutes, mash or puree the dates along with the liquid. If the dates you used were moist you should be able to mash them easily with a fork. If the dates were really dry it will likely be easier to use an immersion blender or small food processor to puree (they don&#039;t have to be completely smooth). Transfer all of the date mixture into the cake batter and beat until combined.

Bake

Grease ramekins** or a 12-count muffin tin (see note for an 8x8 pan). Transfer the batter to the prepared pans and smooth the top. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Depending on the size of your ramekins this can be anywhere from 20-25 minutes. Be careful not to overbake. Place on a wire rack to cool.

Cake:

Toffee sauce

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Add the cream, brown sugar, molasses, and salt. Bring the mixture to a simmer, whisking occasionally, and simmer for 5-8 minutes. Whisk in vanilla and set aside to cool slightly; it will thicken as it cools.

Remove cake from pan

While the cakes are still a little bit warm, remove them from the ramekins/muffin tin and place them on a baking sheet or a piece of foil or parchment paper. Note: the cakes will likely have a dome on top. If desired, you can use a serrated knife to level off the top. I prefer to level it off and serve the cakes upside down.

Brush with sauce

Brush all sides of the cakes with the toffee sauce, reserving the rest of the sauce for serving.

Serve

Serve the cake warm, drizzled with extra toffee sauce. Garnish with heavy cream, whipped cream, ice cream, and/or a sprinkle of flaky sea salt.
