Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F, and lightly spray a casserole dish or 9 x 13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.

Open the can of pineapple and pour into the prepared pan, juice and all. You can certainly use one with syrup because it doesn't change hwo the cake bakes, but juice will love the sugar content of the final cake, so it's entirely based on preference.

Evenly sprinkle the cake mix over the pineapple, followed by the melted butter. Use a spoon to lightly mix the top, so it is entirely covered with butter.

Step 4
