The smell is strong but pleasantly like fresh fish, and apparently it also tastes deliciously fishy to her. I mixed the Acana Wild Atlantic dry cat food in a 1:3 ratio with the dry cat food I have been feeding her in order to introduce it to her system gradually, and she promptly picked out all the Acana pieces first. After 3 days, I went to a 1:2 ratio for another 3 days, and started feeding all Acana on the 7th day. She had no problem adapting to the Acana Wild Atlantic and actually turned up her nose at her previous dry food, insisting on the Acana Wild Atlantic instead. Three-fourths of this food is from 7 different wild-caught fish species sourced from the Atlantic Ocean and processed in Kentucky, using all of the fish, organs and bones just as my cat would eat if she caught the fish herself. I got the Acana wild atlantic and wow opening the bag it is very fishy! Which is a good thing considering my cat loves fish flavored food and acana did not disappoint. She is very picky with the food she eats and she tears this wild Atlantic up as soon as it hits the bowl. I was very satisfied with this product considering I am also very picky with what I feed to my fur baby. Over all look of the bag and the easy to open and reseal slide on the bag is a great touch! They even sent her the cutest little bandana! I will continue to feed this to my baby and look forward to introducing more of Acanas products to my picky kitty. ✔ Yes, I recommend this product. My cats started smelling the bag of Wild Atlantic cat food before I even opened it. When I opened it, it has the strongest fresh fish smell I have ever smelled. I filled there bowl up and they started eating it but all you smell is fish. They liked it but I am only giving it to them a few times a week. Tara40 · 6 months ago MUST BE DELICIOUS I have recently decided to have my cat try Acana Wild Atlantic cat food. It must taste delicious because my cat cleaned her bowl right away. She usually leaves some of her other cat food in the bowl for later. There are many things I like about this cat food. I like that the top 6 ingredients are from animal sources. This is a protein rich formula made with fresh and raw ingredients. There are also added vitamins and minerals. I HIGHLY recommend this product and so does my cat! ✔ Yes, I recommend this product. Momofmany · 6 months ago My cat loved it The pieces were pretty decent size and they weren't too super hard for my cat to eat. I had no problem getting her to eat it so she must have loved the flavor. The only thing I didn't like about it was that you had to keep the bags sealed because the smell was so strong but it wasn't a bad smell you could just tell it was a fishy smell. The food was pretty easy on my cat's stomach and it didn't give her any issues or problems so I will probably be using it again ✔ Yes, I recommend this product. Jay04 · 5 months ago Cat loves this food I've been feeding my cat the same food for years. It's one of the "better" ones, but I can find it at my grocery store, don't have to go to a pet store, and it was on the lower price range for that quality level of food. But recently, my orange tabby has started shedding a lot more and throwing up occasionally. We tried a number of foods, all of which she loves, but the shedding and occasional vomiting continued. Finally tried Acana, and she hasn't thrown up since day one of the transition to this food two weeks ago. Her coat is starting to look really glossy and shiny, too. You can tell from the smell as soon as you open it, there's a lot of fish in there. They use really high quality ingredients, and my cat absolutely loves it and I'm pretty sure she'd recommend it to her friends. Justnatalie · 6 months ago A Real feast for the felines This has to be the freshest packaged cat food I've ever seen and it doesn't have that typical processed pet food smell. My cats are loving it and seem to get more satisfaction from this blend, it's apparently not too crunchy either. The ingredient list is impressive and it comes vacuum sealed! I really like that it's formulated for cats of all ages because I have a new kitten and an og and both are enjoying this food. ✔ Yes, I recommend this product. Tuarim · 5 months ago Kitty devours this My cat can not get enough of this food. She eats both soft and hard food but when I open this bag, she comes. Even if in another room, this food draws her out. The scent has a strong seafood scent which makes it irresistible to her. Jackie will even give out this crying meow if she has none in her bowl.
