Export 8 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the ground sausage and herbs and spices (garlic, chili flakes, thyme, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne, salt and pepper, and sage leaves), and sugar. Using two hands, mix the ingredients together until they are well-blended.
Step 2
Shape the sausage mixtures into patties about 3 to 3 1/2 inches wide and 1 to 1 1/2 inches thick.*
Step 3
Place the formed patties on a baking tray lined with parchment paper to keep them from sticking.
Step 4
Spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil. Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 5
Once preheated, place 4-5 patties in the air fryer.
Step 6
Air fry the sausage patties 12-15 minutes on manual, flipping halfway through cooking. Check for doneness at 10-12 minutes. (*See notes)
Step 7
Remove the sausage patties from the air fryer, place them on a clean plate, and cover them to keep warm. Repeat the steps above, air frying the remaining patties.
Step 8
Serve with sauce of choice.
