Step 1
Using your hands, combine beef, egg, breadcrumbs, barbecue sauce, paprika, garlic and 1 tablespoon of the tomato sauce in a large bowl, then season; mix well. Shape mixture into four patties the same size as the brioche buns; ensure they will all fit into the air fryer basket. Spray all over with cooking spray.
Step 2
Preheat a 7-litre air fryer to 180˚C/350˚F for 3 minutes.3
Step 3
Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Taking care, place patties in the basket; at 180˚C/350˚F, cook for 10 minutes, turning halfway through cooking time, or until browned and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and top each with a slice of cheddar; cover loosely with foil to keep warm.
Step 4
Arrange bacon in the air fryer basket. Reset the temperature to 200˚C/400˚F; cook for 5 minutes until crisp.
Step 5
Split and toast brioche buns. Spread bun bases with mayonnaise, then top with lettuce, patties, bacon, pickles and remaining tomato sauce; sandwich together with bun tops.
Step 6
Serve cheeseburgers with sweet potato chips.
