Step 1
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Pat the chicken wings dry and place in a large mixing bowl with the oil, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Toss until the chicken is well coated with spices.
Step 2
Working in batches if needed, add the wings to the air fryer basket in an even layer with a bit of space between each and cook, flipping halfway through, until browned and crisp, about 16 minutes.
Step 3
While the wings cook, combine the hot sauce and butter in a large bowl. Whisk to combine.
Step 4
Toss cooked wings with the sauce.
