Step 1

Sift the all-purpose flour and cacao powder.

Step 2

Place all the "wet ingredients" and "dry ingredients" from the list, in a mixing bowl and mix well using a whisk.

Step 3

Grease the ramekins with butter and dust them with flour.

Step 4

Fill the ramekins with the cake batter to about 2/3rd its capacity.

Step 5

Dip in a baking chocolate piece completely in the batter in the ramekins.

Step 6

Preheat the air fryer to 360°F.

Step 7

Place the ramekins in the air fryer.

Step 8

Air fry the lava cakes for 12-14 minutes at 360°F.

Step 9

Once the lava cake starts leaving the edges, it is done.

Step 10

Remove them from the air fryer basket carefully.

Step 11

Allow the cake to cool down for a minute and then run a butter knife around the edges to loosen it.

Step 12

Invert the lava cake onto a plate.

Step 13

Dust it with some icing sugar, top it with whipped cream or serve it with ice cream.
