Spicy green bean recipe made simple in the air fryer. My flavor combination was inspired by a famous dish at a restaurant chain.

Air Fryer Spicy Green Beans

green beans,

sesame oil

soy sauce

rice wine vinegar

garlic,

red pepper flakes

Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).


Place green beans in a bowl. Whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes in a separate bowl and pour over green beans. Toss to coat and let marinate for 5 minutes.


Place half the green beans in the air fryer basket. Cook 12 minutes, shaking basket halfway through cooking time. Repeat with remaining green beans.


Made this recipe and cook time was perfect! I didn’t have red pepper flakes but did have chili oil so used it instead. The flavors were great but I would double the amounts to enhance the flavors.

The only change I made was to add freshly grated Romano cheese when they were done. I'm not a fan of green beans.........until now. Will also make a great healthy snack

Didn't have red pepper so I used black pepper. Came out better than expected.

I make these a LOT! Love'em. Easy-peasy and muy tasty.

I doubled the recipe using 2 lbs of green beans.  I substituted 1/4  water + 3/4 white vinegar for rice wine vinegar.  I cooked a total of 15 mins.  I shook every 5 mins.  Next time I will not double red pepper flakes.  Too spicy for some in my family but not for me.

OH my! I think these are the best green beans that I have ever made. I used light olive oil instead of sesame oil (not a fan) and Trader Joe's coconut aminos instead of soy sauce. I put these back into the original dish that I marinated them so that they were coated in the remaining marinade. I think cooking time and temp is different for different air fryers. I have the Gourmia that they sell at Costco. I cooked them at 400 for five minutes and then decreased the temp down to 300 and cooked for another 5 minutes.

Maybe it's my air fryer but the green beans NEVER cooked even when I doubled the time. Awful!
