Step 1

Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F (175°C) for 1-2 minutes.

Step 2

If using a pre-made pie crust, place it in a pie dish. If you're making a homemade crust, roll it out and press it into the pie dish. Place the pie crust into the air fryer basket and cook for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 3

Prepare The Tomatoes: Slice the tomatoes, place them on a plate, and sprinkle with some salt, which will draw out some of the liquid. Let set for 7-10 minutes.

Step 4

Add Your Fillings: Sprinkle a generous amount of grated cheese over the bottom of the crust and sprinkle with basil and thyme. Top with the sliced tomatoes.

Egg Wash: In a small bowl, crack the egg and add 1-2 teaspoons of water. Using a pastry brush, brush the crust with the egg wash.

Air Fry: Place the pie dish into the air fryer basket.

Cook: Cook the tomato pie in the air fryer at 350 degrees F (175°C) for approximately 7-10 minutes or until the crust is golden brown, the filling is bubbly, and the tomatoes are tender.
