Step 1
Prepare the Ingredients:Citrus Juice: If using fresh citrus fruits, cut them in half and juice them using a citrus juicer. Measure 1 cup (240 milliliters) of juice.Fresh Herbs: Rinse and lightly bruise 2-3 sprigs of fresh herbs to release their flavors.Fresh Berries: Wash and, if necessary, cut the berries into smaller pieces.

Mix the Base:In a mixing pitcher, combine 2 cups (480 milliliters) of filtered water with 1 cup (240 milliliters) of fresh citrus juice. Stir well to blend.

Add Sweetener:Stir in 1-2 tablespoons (15-30 milliliters) of your chosen sweetener (e.g., honey or agave syrup) until fully dissolved. Adjust the amount based on your sweetness preference.

Incorporate Additional Flavors:If using fresh ginger, peel and slice a 1-inch piece. Add the slices to the pitcher.If using ginger ale or pineapple juice, pour 1/2 cup (120 milliliters) of ginger ale or 1/4 cup (60 milliliters) of pineapple juice into the pitcher. Stir to combine.
Step 5
Chill and Infuse:Add a handful of fresh berries and 2-3 sprigs of your chosen herbs to the pitcher.Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the drink to chill. For a quicker chill, place the pitcher in the freezer for 20-30 minutes, but be cautious not to freeze.
Step 6
Serve:Fill glasses with ice cubes.Pour the chilled Ice Ritual over the ice in each glass.Garnish with additional slices of citrus, berries, or herb sprigs if desired.
