Step 1
On clean and flat working surface, combine,using your hands, almonds, sugar, egg whites, honey, almond extract and flour.You'll get sticky dough. Leave aside.

Preheat the oven to 170 C / 338 F.
Step 3
Cover two baking sheets with baking paper and leave aside.
Step 4
Put icing sugar into the shallow bowl.
Step 5
Cut the dough into 20 balls to be about the same size.
Step 6
Roll the balls into icing sugar and place on the baking paper ( 10 balls on each pan ).
Step 7
Dent each ball center using thumb.
Step 8
Bake each sheet pan for 12 minutes. Leave to cool.
Step 9
After baking is done, fill each thumbprint with ½ tsp of red currant jam.
