Step 1
Wash the cauliflower and cut it into equal large size florets (see recipe post for how to easily cut a cauliflower).
Step 2
Add water to the instant pot insert. Place the steamer basket in the instant pot insert with the cauliflower florets.
Step 3
Start the instant pot and set it on manual or pressure cook mode for 0 minutes on high pressure with vent in sealing position. (Update: Many readers enjoy crunchier cauliflower, for which 0 minutes at low pressure works great)
Step 4
When the instant pot beeps, quick release the pressure manually. Remove the steamer basket carefully as it is hot.
Step 5
You can place this basket under cold water for a couple of minutes to stop the cooking, give it in an ice bath (optional) or just eat the cauliflower as is.
Step 6
Season with salt, pepper and enjoy.
