Appetizer Wreath

tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls

(8 ounces) cream cheese, softened

sour cream

dill weed

garlic powder

broccoli

sweet red pepper

celery

I have also done this but instead of the dill and garlic powder I used ranch dressing seasoning pkg it gives it a little more zip.Alice

I cut the rolls into 10 slices instead of 8 and I think the bread was still too thick.  They bake into a peak on top, even though I depressed the middle before baking.  This peak made it difficult to get the veggies to stay on top of the roll.  The flavor of the spread was very subtle.  It didn't have that veggie dip punch of flavor.  These were really messy to eat as well.

I was invited to a potluck and thought this looked like the perfect dish to take.  I don't like red peppers, so used radishes instead.  I also turned the ring upside down before spreading the cream cheese mixture.  It looked amazing and there was none left to take home.  I think I would add more dill next time.

Took to a party and received many nice comments.  I did cut the crescents into 16 slices and the amount of bread  was still more than needed.  I added 1 t. of dry ranch dressing and added some chopped mushrooms that I had on had then mixed all together so ingredients wouldn't fall  off when served.  Will make again!

Made this for Christmas dinner with my family. Everyone really enjoyed it. It was very tasty, simple, and refreshing. I will absolutely make again especially in the summer when dill is readily available from the garden and there are plenty of get-togethers.

So I cut this recipe in half because it was just for my husband and I as an evening snack.  We figured we would have some leftovers for another evening.  Nope.  Just the two of us ate all 8 of them.  When I took the first bite I thought they were just OK.  But after a few more bites I really thought they were amazing.  The spread has a very light taste, not too heavy at all.  We didn't put broccoli on top because we didn't have any but it still tasted great.  I used a bit more garlic powder (suited to our tastes).  We also used a yellow sweet pepper instead of red.  I did find that it called for too much celery.  I think we only used half of what it called for (even after halving it for the recipe).  The topping made for a nice crunch and overall, tasted fresh.  We definitely will be making this recipe again.Lastly, as an FYI, you can now buy crescent "rounds", basically the same thing as this but already cut for you.  I just had to pull them out of the canister :)

I cut one can of the crescent rolls into 16 slices as previous reviewers recommended and shaped them into a Christmas tree just to fit on my serving platter.  I also used Adobo seasoning in place of the garlic and used just broccoli and prepared bruschetta for the topping.  Any extra creamy topping I used as a dip for veggies.  Everyone at my family Christmas gathering said it was wonderful!  I will def make this again.

This was a huge hit!  It was so easy to make.  I also used Hidden Valley Ranch mix as well.  I made two of these for a family birthday party.  One of the wreaths I made with gluten free Bisquik instead of the crescent rolls.  That one also turned out really well.  Both wreaths received rave reviews.  This is definitely one I will make again and again!

Forgot to add that I had enough of the white spread to cover 2 tubes of rolls, both cut in 16 slices each. The veggie amts called for were also more than enough for 16.

I just made this for a Christmas party, and it was a hit! It's so pretty, and it tastes great. I, too, cut the slices thinner, and it worked perfectly! My celery didn't come with leaves, so I used the extra red pepper to fashion a bow.

This was enjoyed by all ages at our Christmas gathering.  I made a few substitutions.  The crescent rolls were replaced with a sourdough baguette, which was sliced in 24 pieces.  The garlic powder was replaced with a clove of minced garlic.  I chose not to use ranch dressing because it contains msg.  The final substitution was diced spinach instead of broccoli.

Just made this to take to a Christmas party yesterday.  Not only was it fun & simple to make, it was beautiful & a big hit.  This is definitely a keeper.

We make this frequently. Have used it for grad parties, spelling out grad years with croissants. People love it!!! Also have tried slicing croissants into more than just 8...makes for a thinner "crust". Good when sliced into 12 per roll! This is always a hit.

I added this to Christmas dinner & it was a hit! I think I would make the wreath bigger & cut the dough into 16 slices instead of 8 to make it easier to eat. Love it :D

I've made this several times over the past year. I use a tablespoon of ranch powder for extra flavor. I also cut each can into 16 slices, otherwise I feel the bread is too thick. I throw the leftover veggies in the leftover cream cheese mixture, adding a bit more sour cream to thin it out, and use as a cracker dip. I never bring any back home when taking it to a gathering. Yum!

Sister-In-Law made this after our attendance at a Taste of Home Cooking School where it was one of the items demonstrated. Not sure if she forgot some ingredient, but it wasn't as yummy as I expected after the host raved about it and especially after I read some of the previous posters reviews.  I think I will try it again from my kitchen and see how it goes for me.  I tend to think she forgot something because it was very bland and tasteless.

I also add some dry ranch dressing mix, as this makes is really tasty. Not too much though, add slowly to your taste or could be too salty.

I took this to my neighborhood Christmas party.  I had several asking for this recipe!  It looked like a complicated appetizer, but it's deceptively easy to make.

i was looking for a simple but great ideal to take to a family gathering,we decided to do finger food,when i came across this recipe which taste of homes is the only recipes i prefer ,i thought ,this looked really good. i tweaked the recipe just a bit to my liking. needless to say this appetizer recipe has become my favorite. i did add fresh dill herbs instead of the dill weed. just because the herb was cheaper than the can of dill. sadly i didn't have any left overs to bring home. the creamy texture and the herb was just perfect. i didn't add any garlic .im a big fan of garlic but not every one else is so i wanted to keep it toned down but instead i used an all purpose seasoning in its place. it was perfect.i would recommend this recipe to any party get together and it was so easy putting together.i did the round wreath and used a small bowl in the middle for the extra cream left over from the mixture after topping the cresent rolls  . that way folks was able to add some to their plate as extra if they liked.big  big hit....
