Step 1
In medium bowl, mix together cereal, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

Using pastry blender, cut in butter until crumbly.
Step 3
Set aside.
Step 4
Place apples in 20 cm (8-inch) square baking pan (or 2 l casserole dish) coated with non-stick cooking spray.
Step 5
Sprinkle with sugar and lemon juice; toss gently.
Step 6
Sprinkle with cereal mixture.
Step 7
Bake at 190°C (375°F) for about 30 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is light brown.
Step 8
Variation : Use 2 cans (19 oz/540 ml) apple or cherry filling in place of apples.
