Step 1

Sprinkle chicken breasts evenly with salt and pepper and place in the bottom of the slow cooker insert.

Step 2

In a small bowl, whisk together all remaining ingredients (chicken broth through five spice powder) and pour over the chicken breasts.

Step 3

Cook chicken on Low for 6-8 hours or High for 3-4 hours. Chicken is done when it shreds easily with a fork.

Step 4

When chicken is done cooking, shred with two forks to serve.
