My family loves meat loaf&mdash;and this one in particular. I created this bacon meatloaf after trying and adjusting many other recipes over the years. Cheddar cheese tucked inside and a flavorful bacon topping dress it up just right for Sunday dinner! &mdash;Sue Call, Beech Grove, Indiana

My family thought this was the "cat's meow" and gave it 10 stars. I used a good quality  ground beef and Panko bread crumbs. Used turkey bacon to top it. It was moist and tasty, will definitely make again. Next time will use the broiler pan as suggested in another review. The only negative is the long baking time as I live in a hot and humid location. So I will experiment with the convection setting to see if I can shorten the baking time.

Made this meatloaf exactly as recipe stated.  Delicious!  I made a oval ring out of crumpled aluminum foil and put the meatloaf on that when I baked it.  It didn't sit in the grease.  Will definitely make it again!

Shape your meatloaf on your broiler pan and the grease will drop thru. Excellent receipe.

It was absolutely delicious (and I am not a fan of meatloaf!)  My family loved it...The only change I made was that I used a "meatloaf mix" (pork, beef and veal ground).  I made it a couple of weeks ago...and froze it for a night that I would not have time to cook.  It was perfect.  There was enough left for one lunch tomorrow!  (Make sure you drain out the grease and let it settle so the slices don't fall apart when you are about to serve.)

Made this last night, smelled so yummy cooking. I used 93% ground beef and my meatloaf pan to eliminate excess grease.  Next time I make will definitely increase the chili sauce as it added a great tang. I may spread it on top and eliminate the bacon. I love bacon, but this would have been just as good without the bacon.

This was a great meatloaf.  My children don't like meatloaf but with this recipe there was no leftovers.  We will definatley make this one again.  I didn't have breadcrumbs so I crushed up onion garlic croutons.  This had a great flavor.

We loved this recipe.  I added 1/2 cup bell pepper and 1/2 cup ketchup, substituted ground turkey for ground beef and seasoning salt for salt and omitted the cheese because I'm carb conscious.  Will definitely make it again, layering the bacon crosswise instead of lengthwise.

Almost once I week Mom and I would make this for supper. For a wedding gift Mom got a new copy of a Betty Crockbook. Still the one I use, falling out pages, etc. When you lived in a small town (Crown Z lumber mill) what was 'available' was pretty limited. Ocean Falls, BC.Book was printed in 1938.

I didnt have chili sauce bur used a tomato sauce brown sugar combo and a mix of beef and venison..

Made this last night ....fabulous....added 1/4 cup chilli sauce and 1/4 cup kecup Manis instead of 1/2 cup chilli sauce ......and extra to glaze as it cooked .....it was amazing

I make mine like this but I use Ragu instead of the chili sauce. And sometimes, for a little sweetness I'll use a mix of bread crumbs and corn meal. Awesome, recipe.  Always looking for meatloaf recipes without ketchup in it.

Made this for supper last night and it was delicious! The chili sauce adds a nice spice to the meatloaf. minutes before it was done. It gave the bacon a great flavor.

This is my favorite meatloaf recipe.  I've made it many times.

I did not have Worcestershire or chili sauce so I substituted taco sauce.  I also doubled the bacon. It was myh best meatloaf ever.

I LOVE meat loaf, this one is great!!  Invest in a meat loaf pan ( 2 piece w/the tray where the meat loaf sits )  they are worth their weight in gold. No more meat loaf sitting in grease.

This meatloaf was easy to make and was tasty, but we found this meatloaf so greasy.  Maybe using a meatloaf pan that removes the grease as it bakes would help, but this is one recipe that I can only make every so often as a treat.

This is the ONLY  meatloaf my family will let me make now!

This is the best meatloaf I've ever had. I made a sauce to put on top using ketchup and worcestershire sauce. Yum!
