I can never get enough of this baked sweet potato fries recipe! Even though my grocery store sells them in the frozen foods section, I still love to pull them out of my garden and chop them up fresh! &mdash;Amber Massey, Argyle, Texas

Baked Sweet Potato Fries

sweet potatoes,

canola oil

garlic powder

paprika

salt

cayenne pepper

I made these and when I went back for a few more, they had all disappeared!  I did cut the cayenne pepper back to about half.  And that was probably perfect for us.  All the rest of the spices I used as directed. I used the canola oil listed because it does better cooking at such a high temperature. But if you had one of those olive oils that are marketed for high heat, that would be an option.  My biggest problem is those sweet potatoes are so hard to cut.  Maybe there's a trick I don't know.  I have a Cutco Hardy Slicer knife I used, and it was still pretty hard to slice them.  I did two potatoes, so now I'm thinking I should double the recipe.  And I didn't see any need to spread those two sliced potatoes over two sheets.  I just used one covered with non stick aluminum foil. You do need to stir them occasionally to keep from burning on one side. I needed my oven, so I ended up throwing the fries into my air fryer and finished them up. I'll definitely make these again.

<p>Keeper, keeper...!  I used a white and an orange sweet potato for this recipe.  I used smoked paprika instead of sweet out of personal preference.  Using the two cookie sheets kept the fries spread out so they got nice and crunchy.  I lined the sheets with non-stick foil for very easy clean up.</p>
