In a medium skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, rum extract, water, vanilla, and cinnamon, and mix to combine. Bring the mixture to a low simmer, then stir in the bananas and walnuts. Cook 2-3 minutes, until the bananas are warmed through.
