Ingredients: 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted; 2 tablespoons onion soup mix; 2 tablespoons beef broth; 1 tablespoon quick-cooking tapioca; 1 pound beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes; Hot cooked noodles or mashed potatoes

I double this super recipe to feed our family of four so I'm sure to have leftovers to send with my husband to work for lunch. Beef in Onion Gravy

(10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted

onion soup mix

beef broth

tapioca

beef stew meat,

noodles potatoes

It was delicious and the meat was sooo soft. I used the can of condensed cream of mushroom and a can of onion soup. Then I added the tapioca. It worked beautifully, in spite of taking all of 5 minutes to prepare.

House smelled so good! Made this last night, did use a London broil steak which I had on hand. The meat was so tender. did not need any tapioca (or any thickening ingredients). Sauce thickened up perfectly without. Served with mashed potatoes and tossed salad. Such a nice simple dinner. Thank you Denise, with add this to my recipe box for sure!!!

Very good.  Made the house smell wonderful   Didn't have tapioca to add couldn't find any in stores didn't seem to matter.  Gravy was thick enough with out it but maybe a little too thick.  The onion soup mix didn't make much of a difference either.   Next time i make this I will add a little more broth or or some brown gravy mix with some water plus a couple of slices of onion for some onion taste.

Delicious creamy mushroom and beef goodness! I didn't have onion soup mix on hand so made my own and added some thyme because it sang out for some.

I use cream of celery soup instead of the mushroom (taste preference). Always double the recipe - leftovers are wonderful.Serve over cooked egg noodles - wonderful!

We make this with mashed potatoes. All four members of the family love this meal (unusual) and it's incredibly easy to make.

I work from 1 to 9:30 pm, so I'm always looking for recipes that are easy for my husband to monitor for dinner for him and my 2 sons.  This one got enthusiastic reviews, and will become a regular on our family rotation.  Just remember that as written, it is for only 3 people (with limited appetites).  As I like to take leftovers for my dinner at work, don't forget to double the ingredients, especially the gravy!  So easy, too!

My sons would eat an engine block if it was cooked in the crock pot!  This recipe is simple and straightforward but very tasty and it uses a cheaper cut of meat.  Very economical.  You might very well already have the sauce ingredients in your pantry!  Good for family on a chilly night or even to take to that someone who needs a meal due to illness, surgery, etc.

This is soooo good with my own tweaks.  I added some brown gravy mix and some water because of it.  It makes the gravy very rich and delicious with mashed potatoes.  Also didn't add the tapioca.

Good flavor with basic, minimal ingredients.

I doubled the recipe like others had suggested and was glad that I did!The meat was so tender and the gravy was delicious!

Super easy and tasty!  Crock pots are so convenient! I cut up boneless chuck roast and check for doneness by sticking a fork in the meat periodically after the minimum cooking time so it doesn't get tough.  Next time I think I'll try a combination of onion soup mix and ranch dressing mix and see how that comes out.  Great recipe for those nights you are too busy to cook!

Found it to be too salty and should have had some water added.  Way too thick, as is.Tasty but not a repeat recipe for me.

This is a fabulous crock pot recipe. The gravy is rich tasting and the meat is fork tender!

It was very good and I plan on making it again and I will double the recipe.
