Step 1
Place the pine nuts in a small frying pan over medium heat and cook, stirring frequently, for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown (see microwave tip). Place the pine nuts, beef mince, onion, parsley, garlic, cumin and egg in a medium bowl. Use your hands to mix until well combined. Season with salt and pepper. Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and shape each into a 6cm-long log.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the koftas and cook, turning occasionally, for 8 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
Step 3
Place a piece of bread on each serving plate. Top with the tabouli, koftas, hummus and chilli sauce.
