In a food processor, blend oats until fine.
Step 2
Add in half of black beans, onion, pepper, and garlic. Pulse until just combined, not too long because you do not want it to turn into mush. I pulsed 6 times.
Step 3
Pour mixture into bowl. Add in rest of black beans, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper.
Step 4
Stir in gently until well combined. Let sit for 10 minutes to thicken.
Step 5
Form into 6-8 patties.
Step 6
Heat a pan with 2 tbsp oil over medium-high heat. Add patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side.
Step 7
Serve immediately.
