This coffee cake that uses Bisquick&reg; is even better than if bought at the bakery. It took me a while to get this recipe just right.

Bisquick&reg; Coffee Cake

baking mix (such as Bisquick®)

milk

white sugar

cinnamon

brown sugar

butter

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease a deep 9-inch pie pan.


Combine baking mix, milk, sugar, egg, and cinnamon in bowl; mix well. Spread into the bottom of the prepared pan.


Mix baking mix, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon together in a separate bowl using a fork or pastry blender until crumbly. Spread topping mix over cake batter; drag a butter knife across the top as if making a tic-tac-toe board several times.


Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 25 minutes.


I made this incredibly easy cake for a potluck and it was devoured!  I like that it isn't loaded with sugar.  I'm definitely making this part of my "go-to" recipes.

I make this often. The recipe used to be on the bisquick box. I also learned to DOUBLE the topping mix! It's so much better. Also be generous with the oil to make it moist.

I added a little hazelnut creamer to cake mix. After Frosted with hazelnut nutella mixed in whip cream.

My mom used to make Bisquick coffee cake when I was a kid.  I used to love it.  This recipe was ok except for the cake being more dry than I remember. Anyone ever add any oil to make it more moist?  Oh, I did add 2 teas of vanilla to this recipe.

This is an easy, buttery flavored topped coffee cake.

So easy and quick to make.  Perfect for last minute invites or just to enjoy yourself. I choose the second.  Better than and cheaper than bakery

I should have baked at 350 or 375. 400 degrees for 22 minutes burnt the edges of the cake. I put the batter in a 9 inch round cake pan and a little spilled over. If I ever try this again, I will add more sugar to the batter and cook at a lower degree.

So so good! I used pancake mix because I didn’t have bisquik on hand - worked just the same.

Had to double the butter on the topping because it was not very crumbly. Added blueberries to batter. This was soooo good! This will now be one of my go-to recipes for a quick back!

I did not put cinnamon in the cake batter and added blueberries instead.  It was delicious!!!  I will definitely making it again.
