A friend served this BLT pasta salad, and I just had to get the recipe. My husband loves BLT sandwiches, so this has become a favorite of his. It's nice to serve on hot and humid days, which we frequently get during summer here in Virginia. &mdash;Mrs. Hamilton Myers Jr., Charlottesville, Virginia

BLT Macaroni Salad

mayonnaise

chili sauce

lemon juice

sugar

elbow macaroni

tomato

green onions

lettuce

bacon strips, cooked and crumbled

Delicious! We doubled the recipe, and used finely chopped vidalia onion instead of the green onion, and added a bit more bacon that I oven-baked till crispy.

Absolutely delish! Like others, added more mayo, some sour cream, fresh dill, celery seed, a little fresh onion, cracked pepper. A great summertime meal. Oh, and used coleslaw instead of lettuce.

I loved this recipe! It was definitely a hit. I did not have Chili sauce but I had the chinese version, Sriracha. I used 2TBSP instead of the 3 called for and increased the Mayo to counteract the hotter heat. I also had a log of Goat cheese in my Fridge that needed to be used so I added that too, which provided an extra creamy touch to the dish. It really was a terrific recipe both fresh and leftover. I warm it slightly in the microwave so that the lettuce isnt so wilted and it is phenomenal.

What a great recipe!  I made the recipe exactly as it was with no changes.  The whole family loved it.

I was amazed at how disgusting this salad was... it was embarrassing to serve, to be honest. I knew something was amiss when I took the lid off the bowl and it looked dryer than toast. The chili sauce does not belong in this salad. It was weird tasting and it completely overpowered everything else in the salad. I will absolutely NOT make this weird concoction again and I’m hoping my friends and family quickly forget I ever brought it over.

This is excellent! Except I did not put in the chili sauce - 1, I don't put it on my BLTs and 2, I didn't have any. Next time I will put a full cup of tomato in, and also add a little more mayo. Nice cool salad on a hot, humid day.

Terrific - a knock-out at the BBQ the other day - thankfully I made the complete box of macaroni and increased the other ingredients --- had to make copies of the recipe...

I omitted the sugar, and the chili sauce. I also used about a half cup of regular mayo, and about another half cup (didn't really measure anything!) of spicy mayo (we like ours with some zest) but you have to add more in volume because some of it gets soaked up by the macaroni. I just put in a squeeze or two of the lemon juice. Fresh scallions from the garden, cherry tomatoes halved, some sliced.....as well as swiss chard. After 3 days in the fridge, the chard has not wilted! Enjoy!

Made this for a BBQ today, got rave reviews.

I found this recipe a while ago, it is really good. I used Olive oil Mayo & low carb high fibre noodles because I am diabetic.

Fixed this over the weekend and it was a nice salad for a hor day and one can also use tomotoes from your garden.

Good salad. I used chives instead of onions. Will be making this again.

This was easy to put together---and I liked that aspect of it. The only thing that I didn't like is that it was bit dry. I think that if I make it again, I am going to double the sauce and use half to put it together and then use enough of the other half to get it to where I like it before I serve it.

This salad was very good. I substituted chopped baby arugula for the shredded lettuce, which added a nice peppery flavor. N

This is now the family favorite! Best pasta salad we have ever tasted! Easy and quick also.

Made as written (mostly... I really didn't measure the sauce ingredients) and used 6 slices of bacon, and slightly more cooked pasta. Oh my! Is this ever delish!! Definitely one of our new favorites and will be making this a lot!!

I wouldn't say that this really tasted like a BLT, but it was [expletive] good anyway! I would increase the dressing, as I dressed the salad when the pasta was warm and it absorbed a lot of it. YUMMY!
