Blue Cheese Dressing

mayonnaise

half and half

sour cream

lemon juice

Worcestershire sauce

salt

black pepper

In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, 1/4 cup blue cheese, half and half, sour cream, lemon juice, Worcestershire, and salt, until smooth. Gently stir in the remaining 1/4 cup blue cheese and season with pepper to taste. Use now or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

OMG, that's the best bleu cheese dressing I've ever tasted!  Bob's Big Boy used to be my favorite but not anymore.  I used heavy cream (because I had it on hand) instead of half &amp; half and I added a little extra bleu cheese.  It is fantastic!  I think the 1/4 t of Worcestershire was the key. 

I have made this again and again, it is thick rich and terrific tasting on anything even by itself. I am so worried I will lose this recipe. I do put in 1/2 cup of blue cheese and it really does matter what kind you use. 

I love homemade blue cheese dressing with buttermilk but never seem to have fresh buttermilk in the fridge.  This definitely is a good substitute dressing without buttermilk. I added a little more lemon and garlic.  Wonderful!

Yum! Added a clove of crushed garlic too!

 This recipe works if you do three fourths of a cup sour cream in 1/4 of a cup mayonnaise also add 2 tablespoons of buttermilk salt and pepper a smidge of garlic

Sorry but I think this is very disappointing. Tasted too much like mayo. I added more blue cheese to see if that would help but didn’t. Think I’m going to have to keep looking for a better receipe.

Perfect as is. Used on Cobb Salad! Yummy!!
