This is a wonderful cheesecake-type dessert that is great for holidays or potlucks.

Blueberry Torte

graham crackers, crushed

butter, melted

white sugar

(8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

confectioners' sugar

whipped topping (such as Cool Whip®)

(21 ounce) can blueberry pie filling

Mix graham crackers, butter, and white sugar together in a bowl; press mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Chill crust until firm, about 1 hour.


Beat cream cheese and confectioners' sugar together in a bowl until light and fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes. Fold in whipped topping.


Spread cream cheese mixture evenly onto crust; top with blueberry pie filling. Chill until firm, 4 hours or overnight.


I will give this five stars even though it calls for Cool Whip. ;) But if you want it to taste even better, skip the cool whip and do this: whip the cream cheese and sugar until fluffy, then slowly stream into the bowl (while still beating), 1 cup of heavy whipping cream. Continue to beat on medium/high for another minute or so or until soft peaks form. (don't overbeat!). Sooooo much better than with cool whip and really super simple to accomplish. This is a delicious, easy dessert that I am happy to make and serve my guests. I also use real blueberries and make a compote to pour over the cream cheese mixture, and I highly recommend this if you have the time. If not, the canned blueberry pie filling works well in this recipe.

This dessert is simple, easy, and fast. It was absolutely delicious!

I used a store graham cracker crust. I think any more graham would have overwhelmed the filling.

I rated this 5 stars but only because I ditched the graham cracker crust. Instead, I mixed up some  flour, butter, pecans, and sugar dough, pressed into the pan,  baked it until brown, and cooled completely. The best!

This is a great recipe!  Everyone loved it.  
I did make it again and this time, I doubled the cream cheese filling and whipped topping mixture and then I added some fresh blueberries and a little Splenda to the blueberry pie filling and then put additional whipped topping on top.

I used Dream Whip rather than Cool Whip. My grandma always used that so that was my only substitution. Thanks for this recipe. My family had this for holiday gatherings. I had lost grandma’s original recipe.

Literally my favorite dessert ever! Perfect for holidays!

Been making this for the holidays for years. A quick and easy throw together dessert and everybody loves it.

I know this recipe and the rating I give it is based on MY recipe.  This recipe with the artificial whipped topping is not ideal or even good unless you like that plastic taste.My recipe is from my mother, and as indicated in one of the best reviews below,  it replaces the artificial cold whip topping with actual whipping cream, whipped and mixed with the sugar and cream cheese  as the filling.  It's delicious but also make your own compote (blueberries, lemon juice, sugar, and a bit of corn starch cooked to thick, then cooled) and use real whipped cream, not the artificial garbage.  That will be the recipe you pass on to your kids and neighbors.   It is a stunning dessert but don't use the artificial garbage.  Make it from scratch.
