Step 1
Bring salted water to boil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Wash each banana, cut across the top of the banana and also the bottom but don’t go all the through.
Step 3
Cut lengthwise along the skin, like you are scoring the skin, and try not to cut into the flesh.
Step 4
Hold the banana with one hand while using the thumb the remove the skin from the white flesh.
Step 5
If the water isn’t boiling then place peeled bananas in a bowl with cold water.
Step 6
Transfer peeled bananas to the boiling water.
Step 7
Bring to boil, cover the pot, and reduce to simmer for about 20 minutes or until tender.
Step 8
Cut off both ends of each banana, make a slit along the side.
Step 9
Add bananas to boiling salted water and cook until tender, about 20 minutes.
Step 10
Drain water, allow bananas to cool enough to handle. Remove the skin and serve.
