Heat a small saucepan over high heat. Add the butter, bourbon, and brown sugar and cook for 4 minutes. Lower the heat to medium and add the syrup, butter extract, and salt. Whisk and cook for two more minutes. Remove from heat and add to a bowl or dish with a pour spout.
