I'v been fishing for a long time around 50 yrs. so just a tip on how to make your fish tast better turn the fillets over flat side up and you will see a dark line running from end to end this is the blood line! it makes the fish taste strong so remove it by slicing it away then turn it back over and make sure its gone there might be a little left on the bottom edge i'v shown friends this and every one has thanked me as they liked the taste of there fish better"

This is a good recipe that leaves room for some tweaking. I add a dash of onion powder, garlic powder, and chili powder to the mix. It isn't necessary to dip the fish in egg wash first. Actually, I pat the filets dry and then spritz each side with some nonstick cooking spray to help the crumbs adhere. I grease my baking dish with a little butter and also spritz it with nonstick cooking spray. The filets are done between 12 and 15 minutes. If you want a crispy coating, turn the oven off after about 12 minutes and let the fish sit in the oven for about 5 to 7 minutes. The coating will be nice and brown and crispy. Serve with tartar sauce.

I followed the advice of some of the other reviewers and dipped the fish in egg before dipping in crumb mixture. Turned out great! Next time I'll squeeze lemon over each fillet. Very yummy!

This was wonderful, my entire family gobbled it right up!  Such an easy recipe for a weeknight. Will definitely make again!

worst Taste of Home recipe I ever made.Coating was pasty, would not become crisp.  I even put it under the broiler for a few minutes but did not help.  Yuck!

Was a hit with my 3 year old. He actually ate every bit of it that was on his plate without argument

This recipe turned out great. It was quick to make and didn't require many ingredients. My 2 1/2 year old even liked it.

Quite tasty.  I also brushed some olive oil on the fish to help the coating stick.  I sprinkled a little kosher salt on it too before dipping it in the coating.  Squeezing a little lime juice on it after it cooked was a nice addition too.

I brushed the fish with olive oil to help the breading to stick. This recipe was easy and delicious. My husband (not a fish fan) loved it.

I dipped fish in milk first to help breading stick and added a little butter as it cooked to get it crispy.  Nice, easy way to prepare fish.

I have a recipe almost the same as this one. I read the reviews & wanted to advise: Do not dip in eggwash! It is not part of the recipe bc it is not necessary. I put the crumb mix in a one-gallon ziplock bag & gently toss the fish one at a time to coat. Yes there will be extra bread crumbs. Here's what you do: line a cookie sheet with foil. Spray with non stick spray. Place the coated fish on the pan, spray lightly with butter spray or butter flavor cooking spray. Sprinkle te remaining crumbs over the fish. They should be completely covered. Lightly spray again. Then bake. You get a layer of light crust on top & it's delicious! I make this regularly for my family & my two young kids LOVE it! ..P.S. I think the only difference in my recipe is that I use reg. salt but add Adobo & a little garlic Powder.

Made this for dinner tonight. Something different for us! I made it with the Classic Creamed Spinach. A simple, quick dinner with rice pilaf on the side... Even my 10 yr old who has declared she doesn't like fish ate it! Even a "thumbs up" from the teenager! The only downfall... it was a bit on the pricey side! But worth it!

Ohh, and I used an egg (beaten) to help the crumbs stick to it. I think the person who submitted this forgot to mention that. Otherwise the crubs wont stick. Otherwise, loved it!

I had my recipe for this printed in the magazine a few years ago.Replace the soft bread crumbs with 1/2 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs.Dip fillets in egg beater then in crumb mixture.Bake as directed.

I used gluten-free bread crumbs instead of regular bread crumbs and it was delicious. Whenever I say I'm making fish for supper I usually get a big sigh, but this recipe was a huge hit and will definitely be making it again. Used 4 filets and had quite a bit mix left over so will be using more filets next time so not so much of the mix goes to waste!

This was pretty good!  I used dry instead of soft bread crumbs, and I breaded some tilapia and some cod both.  I love fish but don't care for tilapia, and this recipe allowed me to tolerate the rest of the tilapia I had in the freezer!  I baked spritz the fish with extra light virgin olive oil before dipping it in the bread crumb mixture.  That worked fine.  I also baked it for 20 minutes and got it nice and golden brown.  I liked the crispy breading a lot.  It had the texture of what you would put on catfish.  I'm sure it would have been great with some tartar sauce, but I skipped it to keep the calories low.  My 4 year old doesn't eat fish that isn't breaded, and he didn't complain about eating this fish at all.  The cod was even better in this breading than the tilapia, though.  Delicious!

So easy! While I had the tilapia thawing in the sink, I was able to use the chopper to make the soft bread crumbs. It takes about 1 1/2 pieces of bread. It was fantastic!

It was very tasty. To get the bread crumbs to stick, brush a little olive oil on the fish.

A little on the salty side for me but will try it again with less garlic salt.  Otherwise, easy to make and yummy.  As an added bonus, it was only 3 points plus for Weight Watchers.  So I got to eat two fillets!
