Broccoli and Cheese Casserole

(10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup (Regular

milk

yellow mustard

broccoli

Cheddar cheese (4 ounces)

dry bread crumbs

butter, melted

Stir the soup, milk, mustard, broccoli and cheese in a 1 1/2-quart casserole.

Stir the bread crumbs and butter in a small bowl. Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the broccoli mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until the mixture is hot and bubbling.

Rice Is Nice: Add 2 cups cooked white rice to the broccoli mixture before baking.

Cheese Change-Up: Substitute mozzarella cheese for the Cheddar.

good simple recipe.  I leave out the mustard and I use french fried onions along with the bread crumbs for topping.

the mustard absolutely killed the recipe. no one liked it. made it for Easter. was a total waste

Then bake.</div><div><br /></div><div>Sorry there are no measurements but if you want to try this sometime it is really good...my family always wants whatever is left to take home.</div>

My comment is to Aliso Viejo....If you think about the ingredients that are non-fat, you are going to get a really bland dish.  I understand the idea of low-fat, but you have to improvise with other flavorings to replace the richness of food that is totally flat!  Don't blame the chef, blame the cook!

Fellow cooks I do not know what you did, however, I made this dish and thought it tasted awful !!! So much so that I threw it in the garbage disposal. I added the 98% fat free cream of mushroom soup, Non-fat milk, 2 tsp dijon mustard, 16 oz. fresh broccoli ( not frozen  1 cup mixed cheeses, then the bread crumbs mixed with melted butter and cooked it in the oven for 30 minutes. I am a good cook and could not even enjoy the first bites !!! Judy K. Aliso Viejo, CA

I used brown rice and added some grated parmesan to the bread crumb topping.  Even my 9-year old liked it!

I made this for thanksgiving, everyone loved it and it was super easy to make.

This was good. I didnt have cream of mushroom soup so i used cream of chicken and it was super yummy. and i put some veleeta chesse slices on top to make it extra cheesy!

It's a quick and easy weeknight meal that even my picky eater couldn't get enough of. Not too fancy, and easy to add to if you feel inspired. I added orzo in place of the white rice.
