Step 1
To brown the butter: In a medium pot, add the butter. Cook over low/medium heat until the butter melts. Continue to cook until the butter tuns a golden color with small brown specs. Remove from heat immediately, as it can burn very easily at this stage. Allow to cool to room temperature before beginning next step.
Step 2
Add the light brown sugar into the pot with the brown butter. Put over low/medium heat and allow the sugar to dissolve. Once the sugar has dissolved completely, you’ll have a liquid that is kind of like a paste.
Step 3
Slowly add in the cream as you stir to combine completely. Allow to cook and simmer for an additional 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
Step 4
Add in the vanilla extract and sea salt and stir to combine completely.
Step 5
Add into jars for gifting or store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
