Butterscotch Pumpkin Mousse

fat-free milk

(1 ounce) sugar-free instant butterscotch pudding mix

pumpkin

cinnamon

ginger

allspice

fat-free whipped topping, divided

Coarse sugar, optional

Made this this week and it was delicious.    It is a keeper.   The things I did differently was to use vanilla instant pudding , add some vanilla and garnish with ginger snap crumbs.... Reallly good.

This mousse was great. I used fat free cool whip and organic pumpkin puree and next time I might try it with light unsweetened almond milk. The taste and texture are amazing and the next day I had a serving as a quick pre-cross country lunch. I will defiantly be making this again!

This is in my regular    rotation of desserts.  I prefer to use vanilla instant pudding.  Everyone loves it -- its so creamy and delicious!

This is one of my all time favorite recipes.  Actually got it at Weight Watchers years ago.  My recipe uses vanilla pudding, but I want to give this one a try.  You won't feel deprived at holiday time if you have this.  In fact, it usually goes quicker than the pies.

Goodness people....I get the whole healthy, nothing artificial and only natural foods go into this body but take a prozak!!!   Carolyntimm and Bearce you don't have to use the artificial sweetners.  If your skills are so good then you would realize that you can make homemade pudding with Stevia, which is natural an no calories, in place of the instant pudding.  It will stay the same nutritional values.   I think it's wonderful that TOH puts these recipes out there for people who are trying to eat better and take care of themselves.   So thank you TOH for doing what you do and please CONTINUE to do so in spite of the nay sayers.

We love this, the butterscotch and pumpkin pair so well.  I didn't have sugar free pudding on hand so I used instant butterscotch (regular).  I'm looking forward to trying the sugar free/lower cal version.  This is a keeper.  Thank you for sharing this!

Wonderful dish!  Sofisticated taste hides how easy this dessert is to make.

I don't use anything with aspartame or any artificial sweetener.

Just a mediocre recipe with no outstanding flavor.  Also, it is not a healthy recipe with sugar-free packaged pudding mix and fat-free Cool Whip.  Don't waste the ingredients.

Very easy to make.  Tastes like pumpkin pie minus the crust and calories.

I agree with the comment, above, that it would easily serve 6 people.  I sprinkled a bit of nutmeg on top of the cool whip when serving and it made a very pretty presentation.  Will definitely make it again!Barb - Redmond, OR

Do you want to know why I check out all these great sounding recipes?  Because I want to improve my skills ( which are quite good!) & I really want to impart that "Taste of Home", but not using an instant pudding box.  It tastes like chemicals, & the real flavor if butterscotch pudding is not there!  Up your game "TOH"!

I have made this in the past, VERY good and easy.

Sooo easy, low calorie, low fat and really tastes great!  My husband loves it and we can eat dessert without feeling guilty!

It was tasty but surely didn't come out like a Mousse.

Great!  My 5 and 2 year old made this with very little help from me (measuring)!  Tastes great, very quick and very easy!

This recipe has been a huge success with my family. We have diabetics in our houshold and this recipe allows you to use suger free pudding, SF Cool-whip which allows a diabetic person to enjoy great dessert   without running the risk of high sugar readings!
