Step 1

Cut the tops of the oranges off and set them aside.

Step 2

Scoop out the orange while leaving the skin intact.

Step 3

Mix all the dry ingredients and chocolate chips together in a bowl.

Step 4

Add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix them well with a spoon or fork.

Step 5

Fill the oranges with cake batter until they are about 3/4 to the top.

Step 6

Place the lids on top of each orange and wrap with heavy-duty aluminum foil.

Step 7

Set wrapped oranges, cut side up, in the campfire coals, and cook until done (about 10 minutes).

Step 8

If you want to be sure they are done, stick a knife in one and see if it comes out clean! If not done, cook the cake for a few more minutes.

Step 9

Remove from coals and allow to cool. Serve warm.
