Step 1
In a large pot, cook lasagna noodles to package directions.

Combine browned beef, browned sausage, tomato products, spaghetti seasoning and other seasonings together in a large bowl.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, combine ricotta (or dry cottage cheese), spinach and egg.
Step 4
In the casserole dish, place the first layer of noodles, slightly overlapping each other. Evenly spread half the meat mixture and then another layer of noodles.
Step 5
Evenly spread the ricotta mixture, then sprinkle 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese. Add another layer of noodles.
Step 6
Spread remaining meat mixture, and top with 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese and add the final layer of noodles.
Step 7
Top with remaining mozzarella, as well as shredded Parmesan if desired.
Step 8
Cover with plastic wrap and tinfoil, then freeze.
Step 9
Thaw completely.
Step 10
Remove plastic wrap and replace foil. Bake at 325° for 1 - 1 1/2 hours, removing foil for the last 30 minutes. Be ensure centre is hot before removing from oven.
Step 11
Let set for 10-15 minutes before serving.
