My friends and neighbors expect me to bring this irresistible dip to every gathering. When I arrive, they ask, "You brought your bean dip, didn't you?" Championship Bean Dip

(16 ounces) vegetarian refried beans

picante sauce

Monterey Jack cheese

cheddar cheese

sour cream

cream cheese, softened

chili powder

cumin

Tortilla chips and salsa

Fabulous dip!  I never have leftovers when I serve this.  I keep a triple crockpot at the office and put a gallon can of Que Bueno nacho cheese in one, a gallon can of Que Bueno White Queso in the second, and this bean dip in the third.  Even though I quadruple the dip recipe, our staff of 100 eats every last bit.  I add Cholula hot sauce to it and use Pace medium picante.  I also put a big bowl of salsa and jalapenos on the side.  Perfect for Mexican food days.

This is a delicious, easy and well received dish! We set out in a crockpot with additional garnishes. A fun meal idea for the family.

This recipe is amazing, just the way it is. Comes out the best when you use a "thin" salsa/hot sauce, that isn't chunky (If you're in Texas, "El Fenix" hot sauce is the best for this!) I have made this recipe probably 20 times in the last year for various events & have to give out the recipe every time. It is requested no matter where we are going. Who ever came up with it is a genius!

Excellent!  I used 1/2 regular chili powder, and 1/2 Ancho Chili powder- gives it a bit more smoky taste.

Love this bean dip!  I first made it for a Mexican Themed family reunion dinner and it was a HUGE hit with everyone!  Easy and DELISH!  I make it as directed with just a bit more cumin & chili powder.

I made this for Easter because of all the reviews. Even making it I thought there was not enough beans and a lot of creams and cheese. I wasn't satisfied or my family. I was left with a lot leftover.  It is more of a creamy cheese dip. I am not sure how it is called a bean dip. Or how I am so differed with the reviews.

This was very mild with mild picante sauce. I increased the cream cheese to 8 oz to feed a congregation. A serving remained. It was a nice change from baked bean or buffalo chicken dip.

This is one recipe I return to again and again, modifying it to fit what I've got in my pantry. It's great with 2 cups of cheddar cheese (total) in place of the Monterey Jack cheese. Adding up to 1/2 teaspoon of cumin and some finely chopped onions is an adjustment I frequently make. This one is obviously a keeper!

I always come home with an empty crock whenever I bring this to a party.

This dip is great! You can leave things out if you don't have them on hand. Leftovers can go into quesadillas. My 4-year-old son asks for this often.

This recipe is great!  Got it from taste of home years ago and it is my fall football "go to" recipe for my family.  This is one of my top ten fav recipes.  Quick, easy and delicious! No changes.  It is wonderful just the way it is.

I made this for my daughter to take to a potluck one of her college classes was having, and she returned home with an empty slow-cooker and several requests for the recipe.  We're making it again next week for her choir's potluck lunch.  Since a number of the choir members don't eat meat, this is perfect.  It's also really, really good!

LOVE this dip with the way that I make it. Not as listed here. Actually, I think its rather gross with the way it is listed. I just omit the sour cream and cream cheese, and its GREAT!
