Step 1
Prep: Preheat the oven to 350°. Peel and chop the avocado into small chunks, then set it aside.
Step 2
Assemble: In a large mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork. Add the salsa and 1 cup of the shredded cheese and stir into the beans until well combined.
Step 3
Spread the bean mixture in the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate.
Step 4
Evenly distribute the avocado over the top of the bean mixture and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
Step 5
