Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.

In a large bowl, mix together rolled oats, steel-cut oats, rice cereal, dried fruit, and almonds.

Melt butter or coconut oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar, honey, vanilla, and salt and whisk until sugar has dissolved, about 2 minutes.
Step 4
Pour mixture over oats and stir to combine.
Step 5
Spread mixture in prepared baking dish. Press chocolate chips into the top and chill until firm, 1 hour. Slice into bars and enjoy!
