Step 1
Cook the potatoes in salty water until very soft, then strain and mash until very smooth. Allow to cool.
Step 2
Heat oil in a smaller pan, then add onion, bacon and cook until the onion is soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 second. Allow to cool.
Step 3
Combine the mashed potatoes, onion mixture, minces and curry powder in a large bowl and season with salt and pepper, then mix well.
Step 4
Cut each pastry sheet in half and divide mince mixture among pastry halves. Shape the mince mixture down one long side of pastry, leaving a 2cm border. Brush edges with egg, then roll to enclose filling.
Step 5
Cut rolls in half, then in half again and brush with egg. Generously sprinkle with sesame seeds and or poppy seeds. Place the sausage rolls on a lightly greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven on 200C for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Step 6
Serve the sausage rolls with tomato sauce and enjoy.
