Step 1

Mix the eggs, yogurt, brewed saffron, and rose water together until they are consistent. Saffron and rose water remove the unpleasant smell of eggs.

Step 2

Add this mix to strained rice and mix them well. You need to add the melted butter to the rice now as well.

Step 3

Grease the bottom of a suitable pot (a Teflon, for example) and add 1/3 of the rice in the pot and press it with the back of a spoon.

Step 4

Now add a layer of cut-up chicken meat.

Step 5

Continue the last two steps for the rest of the chicken and rice and remember that the last layer must be rice, and of course, pressed with a spoon.

Step 6

Place the pot on a gentle heat and let the Tahchin steam for 40 to 60 minutes.

Step 7

You can decorate it with stir-fried barberries, pistachio, and almond slices.
