Step 1

Pre-heat your oven to 200°C/ 390°F (fan-forced). Line a baking tray with baking paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl combine the chicken mince, bacon, parsley, carrot, zucchini, onion, garlic, thyme, mustard and sweetener. Squeeze the mixture together with clean hands to combine it well. Alternatively mix in a food processor.

Step 3

Thermomix method, chop the parsley and garlic, 5 sec, speed 6, then the onion, 5 seconds speed 4, then the bacon, carrot and zucchini 5 seconds, speed 4 or until finely chopped. Add the chicken mince and rest of the filling ingredients and mix 30 seconds, reverse speed 3 or until combined.

Step 4

Place the pastry sheet onto the lined baking tray. Cut it lengthways in half.

Step 5

Spread the filling along the length of each half.

Step 6

Roll and place on the tray seam side down. Cut each half into 8 small sausage rolls.

Step 7

Brush with the egg and top with sesame seeds.

Step 8

Bake for 15 minutes at 200°C then reduce to 180°C and bake for another 5-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 9

With a lovely salad.

Make and refrigerate or freeze in an airtight container until ready to bake.
