This recipe puts a different spin on traditional chicken noodle soup. I like to use cheese tortellini instead of plain noodles for a pleasant and filling change of pace. This easy creation has become a family favorite that I can count on often. &mdash;Jean Atherly, Red Lodge, Montana

I don't remember trying a new recipe as quick, easy and delicious as this in a long time!  I took this opportunity to use up some of the leftover bags of frozen vegetables in my freezer instead opening another one. So I threw in some peas and corn along with the celery.  Then I used the bag of dried uncooked tortellini I had in the pantry instead of buying refrigerated pasta.  I just tossed it in without precooking.  Soooo good!

I made this delicious soup with variations. Rather than frozen mixed vegetables, I used half a bag of frozen mirepoix. I had my own russet potato and a large carrot. I used spinach pasta cheese tortellini. Didn't have any fresh spinach to include. I included one can of fire-roasted tomatoes, increased the broth to almost 4 cups, and did not add any water. Because my family likes flavorful food, I recommend boosting the herbs and spices just a little. Adding the canned tomatoes changed the nature of the soup to a tomatoey stew. The pasta soaked up much of the liquid. I am looking forward to having leftovers for dinner tonight. I will add cheese to a casserole dish and bake it in the oven. I can recommend this soup as it is presented or with variations, 100%.

We made this using the body and scrap meat of a whole chicken we cut up another night.   By doing that, we cooked it will all broth.  Everything went together well.  My husband preferred to soak up the broth with bread then add cheese to all the bits.  I enjoyed it sans cheese.

Not your everyday chicken soup.  I can't wait for left over chicken

Oh my gosh, this was wonderful and so easy to make!  I did add a few more veggies and a bit more garlic salt.  We will definately make this again!

I make broth a lot and I found an awesome trick. I will use the carcass of a Costco whole chicken, put it in a cheese cloth and simmer for a couple hours with about 3 boxes of store bought broth. I put the wrapped chicken in the pot with the broth and fill the pot to a level I want with water. I always have people asking why my soup is so tasty. A turkey carcass would work too. I'd break it down, put it in cheese cloth to fit in a pot. Very flavorful.

I made this last night and was disappointed.  Not much flavor.  It didn't taste bad but it was just not  enough flavor to say it was good.  Will not make again and can't recommend this recipe but I do love Taste of Home recipes in general.

Inspiration came from a need for a quick meal and a package of cheese tortellini in the freezer.  This is the ultimate \"meal in a bowl\", tasty and filling.  My adjustments included use of veg broth, rotisserie chicken, frozen Italian mixed veggies and a couple of shakes of crushed red pepper.  Comfort food on steroids and nearly effortless!

We made this camping and everyone enjoyed the soup, Perfect for the fall weather.

Very easy, good.  My husband liked it 2 servings worth.  I cut it in half for the 2 of us with no problem.

This soup has a very tasty blend of seasonings & is very easy to make.  The tortellini is a nice variation from noodles.  I used fresh cauliflower & broccoli in place of the frozen veggies & used leftover chicken..  This makes a thick soup. which I like, but some people might prefer to add more broth.

My whole family really enjoyed this soup.  It was delicious!!! Between just 4 of us the whole pot was gone.

Flavorful, simple and quick to make and, best of all, very healthy!! This will go into the "soup rotation" schedule at our house! :)

I love this recipe!  Simple and quick for those days that I don't want spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Canned chicken works well with this recipe.

I made this soup with turkey broth and added any leftover veggies that I had in the refridgerator.  It was SO good!  Will also make this again!
