1 Position a rack in the middle of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees

2 In a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat, heat the oil until shimmering

3 Add the onion and cook, stirring, until translucent, about 3 minutes

4 Stir in the chili powder, salt, powdered mustard and pepper

Step 5

5 Add the beer, then the kale and cook, stirring, until the greens wilt, about 1 minute

6 Remove from the heat, and stir in the beans, apple and tomato

Step 7

7 Top with the cheese, then cover and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until warmed through, the apple is tender and the cheese has melted

8 Serve warm
