Chili Dog Pizza

tube (11 ounces) refrigerated thin pizza crust

yellow mustard

(15 ounces) chili with beans

dogs,

cheddar cheese

onion and sweet pickle relish, optional

Preheat oven to 425°. Unroll and press dough into bottom of a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake until edges are lightly browned, 5-7 minutes.

Spread with mustard; top with chili, hot dogs and cheese. Bake until crust is golden and cheese is melted, 10-15 minutes. If desired, sprinkle with onion and relish.

My bf has an obsession with coneys, so of course we're going to try this. I'm using my own homemade chili that I've been wanting to try on top of dogs anyway, so...

Update: BF was hesitant. Thought he was going to hate it, but he's also been eating coneys every other day as a way of "treating himself" from our local place. I made it, per recipe besides using my family's chili instead, and he was pleasantly surprised! I'm not a mustard person, but I just used less of it and I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would too! Also cooked the onions a bit before adding them so the flavor wouldnt be that strong. Easy, low effort. Great recipe!

<p>I did it exactly as written, and it is awesome and tastes just like chili dogs.  I will be making these again but I think I will use a thicker dough. It is delicious as  written.</p>

It was like a ballgame in my mouth! I topped it with Fritos.

I prepared this recipe for lunch recently and we absolutely loved it. I followed the recipe but added onions just before baking. Delicious. It tasted just like we were eating chili dogs but a lot less messier. Hubby loved going back for seconds. I highly recommend this recipe. Volunteer Field Editor

I had made this recipe twice.  The second time around, I'd used the 11-oz. tube of thin pizza crust and 1/4 cup of spicy brown mustard, rather than 1/2 cup.  I'd also used a can of chili with beans the 2nd time around and the chopped onion/sweet pickle relish both times.  The first time, I'd used 14-oz. package of hot dogs which I'd sliced. Using less mustard worked better for me.

A diner-inspired comfort food mashup! This recipe comes together quickly so you can have diner on the table faster than ordering take-out. We felt there might've been a little too much mustard called for in the recipe as it overshadowed the other flavors, but if we adjust that a little, I think this would be excellent. I definitely recommend adding the onions and the pickle relish to the finished pizza to add more flavor.
