Step 1

Melt the butter in a medium saucepan.

Stir in sugar, cocoa, vanilla and salt.

Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

Quickly whisk in eggs.

Step 5

Fold through sifted flour and baking powder.

Step 6

Mix in choc bits.

Step 7

Spoon the mixture into a greased and lined 18cm x 28cm slab tin.

Step 8

Bake at 170C for 25-30 minutes.

Step 9

The mixture will seem soft, but will harden upon cooling.

Step 10

Allow to cool in the tin before removing and slicing.
