Easy, just a few ingredients, quick and the best part, oh, so tasty!  These little jewels are always a hit on the cookie/candy tray!

I’ve been making this exact recipe for years except I add salted  peanuts or cashews.

This is a favorite  with family and friends. They are known as Tarantulas in my house. I have been making since I was  in high school and when I took a batch to a friend, he exclaimed "What are these? Tarantulas?". The name stuck, and to this day my kids ask for Tarantulas, especially for winter holidays.

We used to make these using corn flakes instead of noodles - so easy for children to help make!  Everyone loves these!

Just made these today. I changed up the recipe though and they still came out DELICIOUS! I used half a bag of chocolate chips and half a bag of peanut butter chips along with a full bag of butterscotch chips. I used chocolate peanut butter cheerios instead of chow mein noodles. ABSOLUTELY YUMMY!!!! VIOLA!!! Enjoy.

These were pretty good, but a little hard to eat.

Thank you for sharing this recipe!  My mom made these every Christmas & I'd forgotten about them until I saw the recipe here!  Will make some this year for Christmas.  So easy.  Brings back wonderful memories of Christmases so long ago & the many loved ones with whom I shared them!
