Chocolate Cherry Studded Streusel Cake

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350° F.Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan.For the streusel toppingcombine brown sugarcinnamon and nutmeg in medium bowl.Cut in 1/3 cup butter with pastry blender or two knives until mixture is crumbly; stir in semi-sweet morselsmilk chocolate morselsoats and pecans; set aside.

Step 2

Combine flourbaking powderbaking soda and salt in medium bowl.

Step 3

Combine sour creamcherriesorange peel and orange juice in small bowl.

Step 4

Beat 3/4 cup butter and granulated sugar in large mixer bowl on medium speed for 4 minutes.Add eggsone at a timebeating well after each addition.Beat in vanilla extract until just combined.Alternately add the flour mixture and sour cream mixturebeating until just combined after each addition.Spread batter into prepared pan.

Step 5

Bake for 20 minutes.Sprinkle top evenly with streusel topping and bake an additional 15 to 20 minutes more or until a wooden toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.Let cool on wire rack.Serve warm or cool completely.
