Step 1
Melt the chocolate and shortening in a double boiler, stirring regularly until smooth. Pour the melted chocolate into a glass.
Step 2
Insert toothpicks into the stem ends of each strawberry. Hold a strawberry by the toothpick and dip it into the melted chocolate until well coated. Stick the toothpick into a block of styrofoam or place it on a sheet of waxed paper.
Step 3
Repeat the step with the remaining strawberries. Allow the chocolate to dry up and harden, for about 15-30 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
