Chocolate Ganache

chocolate chips

heavy cream

instant coffee granules

Cook the chocolate chips, heavy cream, and instant coffee in the top of a double boiler over simmering water until smooth and warm, stirring occasionally.

Oh, this is great!  Used pantry and refrigerator items I had on hand.  Fat free half and half and dark chocolate morsels.  No Instant Coffee so I used a pinch or two of cayenne pepper.  I did add a teaspoon of sugar to smooth out the harshness of the dark chocolate.  Perfect.  I know this isn't the actual recipe Ina provided, but it was a great base for what I had.

I Made a Mounds Cake. Using this ganache, I poured this ganache over the creamy coconut filling that smothered the chocolate cake, it tasted just like a mounds candy bar. Recommended:)

just a pinch of sea salt makes it perfect

Most amazing thing I ever made.  I added 1 teaspoon of coffee and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to give it some extra flavor and turned out AMAZING!!!!
