Step 1
Place the candy cane into a Ziploc bag, and seal. Crush the candy cane into small bits with the back of a spoon or a rolling pin.
Step 2
Set out 2 small plates for rimming the martini glasses. Pour 2 teaspoons of chocolate syrup on one plate, and place the crushed candy cane on the second plate.
Step 3
Rim the glasses by first swirling the rim in the chocolate syrup, then firmly pushing the chocolate coated rim in the crushed candy pieces to coat. Set aside.
Step 4
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add the creme de cacao, vanilla vodka, peppermint schnapps, half and half, and the remaining tablespoon of chocolate syrup. Shake vigorously, and pour evenly between the martini glasses.
Step 5
Top the martinis with whipped cream, grated chocolate, extra syrup, and candy cane pieces as desired.
