Step 1

Preheat oven to 400F.

Step 2

Drop the ground beef into a large skillet over medium-high heat and crumble it well as it cooks.

Step 3

Once the ground beef is fully browned, drain the grease from the skillet.

Step 4

Add the diced pickles, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper to the skillet.

Step 5

Stir all of the ingredients together until well combined and then reduce the heat to low.

Step 6

Spray a 9 x 13 inch baking dish well with cooking spray.

Step 7

Take the bottom half of all 8 hamburger buns and chop each bottom bun into 9 pieces.

Step 8

Place the bun pieces in the bottom of the baking dish and spread them out evenly.

Step 9

Pour the 3 tablespoons of melted butter evenly over the bun pieces.

Step 10

Place the baking dish in the oven and toast the bun pieces for 8 minutes.

Step 11

Remove the dish from the oven and spoon the ground beef mixture evenly over the toasted bun pieces.

Step 12

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the ground beef mixture.

Step 13

Place the 8 top buns on top of the cheese.

Step 14

Brush the 1 tablespoon of melted butter on top of the buns.

Step 15

Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the butter buns.

Step 16

Cover the dish loosely with foil and return it to the 400F oven.

Step 17

Bake the casserole, covered, for 20 minutes.

Step 18

After 20 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking, uncovered, for 5 minutes.

Step 19

Remove the dish from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes.

Step 20

Serve and enjoy!
